Should I ever find my way back to Uganda, there is no question in my mind of where I am staying. Sunset Entebbe is housed in a charmful old colonial-style buiding, located in a desirable suburb of the town, only a few minutes drive from the International Airport, conveniently situated near, but away from, the Entebbe-Kampala road. Cons - room and bathroom were very pokey and quite dated. There is a parking area with 24 hours security present. The guest house is conveniently situated close to the main Entebbe - Kampala road and tourist facilities within Entebbe. My room was at the back of the property and had a wonderfully firm bed and a nice little bathroom with toilet and shower.
We have, immediately, put in place a new system that we trust shall avoid any such inconveniences for the future. Communication pre-booking was efficient and on arrival the pick up from the airport was good. The person in question is now suspended. . I had no water issue but apparently multiple days of power cuts lead to water shortages. As shown by other comments, most of our customers appreciate the main hotel building being a carefully renovated old colonial structure with matching but rather simple furniture. The motel is also handily located close to the Red Rooster Sports Bar if you need to get out to sample a local watering hole and catch live sport on the goggle box! The same applies to our breakfast, we are sincerely concerned about your comment as we have been making it a point to deliver a good breakfast, also commented on below.
We believe that since it was during the xmas days people were a bit relaxed and may somehow have been noisier than usual, and also, a neighbor had a party on that day. The rooms are clean, tidy and quite spacious even if furniture is a little basic. We would be very happy to host you once again, and we shall do all we can to make sure your stay will be good. I would definitely stay there again. For groups you are advised to book well in advance as they often get fully booked. There is free wire-less internet for those with their own lap-tops, iPad or phones. I like this place so much and I would highly recommend it to you.
I was scared a little bit, cause I heard that a lot of diseases there. There have been problems in the area due to hydro cuts which seem to be everywhere in the country but I found no issue as the generators were used. Beds are comfortable and some rooms have a small sofa set. No air conditioner, wifi that didn't reach much past lobby despite what they tell you. Free transfer from the hotel to the airport 4 minutes away is available and this is the perfect point to start or end your journey.
The rooms are nice with nice big shower heads and hot water. Well worth a visit What a nice little place. We shall be more than happy to welcome you back at any time and will make sure you will not only get the best of service but also one of the rooms in the adjacent but relatively new hotel building. A friend had recommended this place to stay on arrival into Entebbe and before having to go on into Kampala. Since 2013 most of the rooms have been fitted with new bathrooms, fittings, floors, beds and where needed they have also been enlarged. This hotel was far superior to a much more expensive hotel in Entebbe, which I won't name out of respect for their business.
But for any longer stays, I would recommend that you look elsewhere. The comments shown below indicates that our Guests have been very happy with those rooms. I stayed one night at the Sunset Entebbe motel earlier in March and everything was wonderful starting from the initial correspondence over bookings through to being met at the airport by a friendly smiling chap. We have a large parking area with a 24 hour security presence for those with their own vehicles. We stayed as a family of four in December. This Ugandan Hotel offers Individually decorated, deluxe rooms, each boasting its own balcony with some breathtaking Lake Victoria viewsLaunched in 2012, our mission is to provide the top level personalized customer experience, quality continental and local cuisine, and the best elegant accommodation available.
Very glad I did stay here. However, upon returning earlier this month I found it had gone slightly downhill; our room I felt needed refurbishment, the fan was loud, the shower was a trickle and the breakfast was mushed fruit and stale bread. Breakfast was good and they also have a lunch and dinner menu. Great food and the buffet breakfast is perfect. Currently the road the guest house is locatec on is being upgraded - not so good when it rained but then there are lots of options to avoid - by taking a bike or taxi.
Dear Guest, Thank you so much for your comment as it helps us to know and improve where needed. Hotel is a rambling building, not at all new as appears in their photos. It's not something you'd write home about but it's what I expected from a motel and the price I paid for the room. Hotel 7 Seasons is a modern hotel close to the fresh water beaches and the ever green Entebbe golf course. The room was clean and everything worked as it should. I stayed at Sunset Motel Entebbe Town in Uganda, and I was thoroughly pleased.
